From the analysis of the @IDF operational systems, an enemy rocket barrage was carried out towards #Israel, which passed in the vicinity of the hospital, when it was hit.
According to intelligence information, from several sources we have, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad is responsible for the failed launch that hit the hospital. source
There is also some Al Jazeera footage that shows a rocket either failing or being intercepted, and then shortly afterwards a giant explosion on the ground below which is allegedly the Gaza hospital in question.
Jees, I get that this is breaking but had 3 different posts on the same incident in the past 2 hours.
I know '500 people died, you're a heartless bastard', but I sleep well at night because I can disconnect.
So if this is not just Israel being too trigger happy, looks like Hamas after taking all medical, food, fuel and water left in the area, have been using hospitals as munition storage and well, this happened after one of their missiles is intercepted as what goes up, must come down somewhere...
If that's just the hospitals, I wouldn't do a ground assault in Gaza unless it's with Killdozers only as the whole place is probably more wired with explosives than a preper's lair.
Or it might have been an accident, or "a rocket ...being intercepted" as AoV implied. Frankly I'm surprised we're making such a big deal over 500 casualties since Israel made it sound like they were going to go all Dresden on Gaza today. This is the Nakba?
I wonder if it's cheaper instead of using jets, get some howitzers and just do that.
If you're already calling for leveling the place, do it quick than allowing the slow death by starvation and illness because Hamas nicked everything after the seige.

Regardless, I’d like to see his response to the main point
Assuming the AJ footage even shows the hospital area, known Hamas rockets don't have anywhere near the payload to do the kind of damage reportedly done to the hospital.
Edit: claimed video of the hospital strike. If true then for sure it's not an intercepted rocket of any kind.
