Unlike Jamieson Price, who openly stated he would not return voice Sado "Chad" Yasutora because "he no longer auditions for PoCs," it sounded like Wendee Lee was excited to return to the role of Yoruichi for Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War.
Except she didn't. Someone else is voicing her now.
UPDATE: Apparently, it's now Anairis Quiñones voicing Yoruichi. You know, the girl that's quickly becoming known as a racist job-stealing diversity hire. Who got heavily called out because of what she said about the casting of Gundam: Witch from Mercury.
Yet they claim it's okay to make Jet black in Shitflix Cowboy Bebop, because his English voice actor was black. Make it make sense.
Unconditional and unrestrained hatred of white people. It's that simple.
That's one of the few characters I wouldn't mind it, if acted right; and apparently that actor was probably the only thing about it that wasn't terrible.
And it's a reason I hate seeing shit like this, because you do it one way, I demand the other way as well, and we end up not getting amazing performances like Beau Billingslea as Jet. Fair is fair though.
Look, they were totally in the right to race swap the Native American and Jewish characters into Black and Asian. Don't question it, chud.
It is amusing though that the two big race swaps ended up being the only two actors who put in any effort and give a performance still worth some applause, even if the product they were acting in was too bad to live up to them.
there is always a reason you can come up with to screw over white people XD.. hehe
