It sucks that the best way to enjoy a lot of games from the past decade is to learn Japanese well enough to understand it since they put the option for Japanese audio in all the games from there. Wouldn't be needed if the localizers weren't a rabid bunch of communist losers.
I have a pretty basic knowledge of Japanese and even I've caught specific sentences and phrases being replaced by the localizers or used incorrectly and that goes double for dubs where they seem to be outright making shit up. Definitely a big advocate of warning the Japanese about this because it will be affecting their western fanbase and whether or not it's even worth supporting them legally. If the westerner localisers go on strike with the games industry then that would probably give the Japanese the perfect excuse to go looking for different people.
It's really jarring when the "localizer" clearly put Western SJW lingo and mindset into the mouth of the characters.
And it pisses me when they changed bits of phrases or farewell/hello/introductions lines "because it fits the character / context better" and it fucking dosen't.

"Ohayo oneechan!"
...Meanwhile, the subtitles, "Hey, you sissy."
