I put a firm barrier between fiction and reality, the only kind of stuff in the grey zone is actors as things can be faked with props but then there's using child actors for certain filming projects.
If it's real, full scorched earth and stop the monsters. If it's fiction so just a drawing, I ain't caring I'll just not view it. Unless you want to completely lobotomise everyone to control their imagination or do what the left does which is restrain fiction but want to be complete unrestricted in reality, it's not a good path to go down.
Do you want the kind of person who chooses to view it working with children? Or otherwise in a position with any kind of authority or discretion?
It is the same with drug laws. They aren't only about drugs, they are also an easy pretext to get undesirables out of society.
Broken windows policing works.
I remember arguing about this with some homo on here and they started talking about how it's not the same thing on social level
