Of course you can separate the body from the mind, because they're distinct from one another. I don't lose a piece of my mind when I cut my hair. When I broke my leg it didn't crack my soul apart.
They're not human and their behavior is not part of human nature. It certainly doesn't become less inhuman just because a lot of people engage in it. And it certainly isn't forgivable or something that should be overlooked that a bunch of other cultists try to enable it.
Each and every one of them is a vile demon constantly seeking victims.
Your mind IS your body, mate. Lose a chunk of your brain, lose a chunk of your mind. Alter a chunk of your body, alter a chunk of your mind.
You cannot separate the two. There's no magic "soul" or what have you that makes up your mind, distinct from your body. You're just an emergent function of the meatware in your skull.

This framing works better than the fake empiricism of "psychology" and whatever mealy-mouthed rationalizations it has for this truly evil phenomenon.
So? The mind is housed by a section of the body, that doesn't make it of the body.
A car in a garage isn't a garage itself. Nor is an engine a car just because it's within a car.
They're not humans. You have yet to provide me with any category that makes them supposedly human that isn't shared with a parrot.

I don't subscribe to empty materialism, simple as that.
