Always presume that women are full of shit. It's the only way to navigate this world/hellscape without wasting your time.
"Frog kissing" is the exact wrong thing with this entire picture. Back when shit worked you didn't kiss every frog in the pond until one transformed into Prince Simp, nor would this type of woman even appreciate it if he did - she has no respect. You didn't "find yourself" at the bottom of a bottle or drunkenly on the end of some random dude's prick. Used to be that you practically grew up with your spouse, you developed and built a life together.
Welcome to late stage dating culture. The 60's and women's liberation were a fucking mistake.
That analogy gets better and better the more I think about it, especially because Disney fairytales are all themed on chastity whether that was intentional or not. Ariel doesn't see Prince Eric and try to bang him, she commits to a quest to marry him.
A lot of modern women probably translate the courtship in the plot as shagging their boyfriend, or translate the marriage as a simple LTR, but even if you allowed for that, hookup culture is way beyond those boundaries.
I mean, they're aimed at kids. I don't think Ariel wanting a ride on the D is exactly a topic they're going to want to cover.
Lmao true. But kid's stories have always had ways to indicate a guy and a girl are sleeping together, or at least leave the possibility open. They just don't have the same audience appeal as traditional romances because it's less of a firm resolution, tone is more casual, stakes aren't as high... makes you think.
