If you haven’t had the chance yet, the Screwtape letters are excellent as well
Read that when I was young. My mother made me read it and I actually enjoy it. Need to re-read as an adult.
You read Quest for Cosmic Justice?
I think that’s one of the few I haven’t actually
You getting his latest? I hope he lives to be over 100 but he is getting up there. I don’t see him writing any more books
I already have it in queue, have a book on the knights Templar first then it’s next
What’s it called? Knights Templar is a fascinating group. You think any of the conspiracy theories about then hold any weight? Like the one about them finding Ark of the Covenant?
This one is more another transition of the Knights Templar into the Freemasons. It’s called Born in Blood. I definitely want to do a bigger dive into the knighthood considering how massively influential they were.
I’ll have to check it out. I actually learned about the Knights Templar from a game on the PS1 where you are a tourist in France and stumble upon a mystery involving a relic relating to the Knights Templar
The Heritage Foundation posted a video interview with Sowell a couple of weeks ago to promote Social Justice Fallacies, and they've got interviews with him after the release of many of his recent books - I watched one from twelve years ago right afterwards, and I have to say, he's aging more gracefully than almost anyone out there.
He's sharper at 93 than most men are at 80.
I just saw it and will save to watch later. He did look good and sharp
Excellent choices.
Where is Knowledge & Decisions?
On my list to buy.
It's the best of everything he's ever written. It's just very thick.
Thanks! After reading Basic Economics I need to get The Wealth of Nations as well. A lot of my economic knowledge comes from Milton Friedman and Sowell.
Mr Pibb and red vines sounds like a great combo. I’ll have to try it
I know. I was just remembering the last time I had Mr Pibb when I was in the Air Force. There is a story from the 40s about an Army base in the north that had a number of soldiers from Texas and they asked for Dr Pepper so much that the base arranged to have crates of it flown up there.
