Because like in all competitions, you remove gender segregation, men dominate you.
Is there any objective way to determine best actor? If not then it is irrelevant, or better yet they take in to account "oppresion"
An objective metric I use is, how many times did I not recognize a famous actor and only know they were in the movie from the credits?
Tom Cruise in Tropic Thunder. Gary Oldman in Fifth Element and others.
I can't think of a single actress I didn't recognize right away from their behavior and mannerisms even if they were in disguise.
Ignoring everything else, it is extremely unlikely for a woman to be "best actor" because wahmen are not allowed to be interestingly written characters (you know, flawed / real) in CURRENT YEAR.
