Reminds me of that based edit of the force awokens that cut out all the generic diversity face reaction shots, cut out some mary sue stuff Rey pulls, stuff like that. It was just some silly thing I only saw on 4chan amd was basically a torrent to download so wasn't even hosted on a proper site.
Suddenly the leftist media was writing all kinds of articles about it. Not enough that you corrupted our lore with feminism and leftism, now the idea that some autists edited a movie for 20 views tops is a hate crime?
Fan edits have become a big thing. There is one that tried to salvage the Obi Wan Kenobi show. Or The Hobbit. Sometimes they work, other times the original material is just so shockingly bad that no fan edit by film students can salvage the material.
It's pretty impressive some of the work they can pull off sometimes. Not just fixing botched or terrible movies, but even things like combining two movies together. The Paradise edit for example actually made the dogshit Prometheus and Aliens Covenant movies work, and that's pretty impressive.
My favorite is the Star Wars prequel edit that added 100% fan-written subtitles to a foreign language dub in order to essentially erase all of the original dialogue from the movie.
We might not have seen the same one but the one I saw played like reversed French dialogue for the Gungans and Trade Federation and subtitled them so the Gungans actually sounded like a warrior race and the Trade Federation guys were committing genocide.

Some of the dubbed voices are REALLY good, some not (like Yoda). It's 100% worth a watch, there's some great lines in there.
Going to check it out. Any more recommendations?
