Washington State's Office of Equity Sends Controversial Email: “If a White Man Wants to Lynch Me, That's His Problem. If He's Go...
Washington State’s Office of Equity, established by Governor Jay Inslee (D-WA) in April 2020, recently came under scrutiny for sending an email to state employees that contained an incendiary quote from Stokely Carmichael, an activist and author.
I see nothing wrong with this part of the quote. It's actually empowering in that it doesn't teaches blacks to obsess over thoughts in the minds of others.
The rest of it, of course, it completely batshit.
I think the problem is that we know he doesn't actually believe it. No commie has ever actually believed "its his problem."
They always will bring their hammer down on you for opposing them. In fact, that's letting someone live their own life which is against the very fundamentals of communism as an idea.
If this was an argument for an expansion of individual rights instead of a reduction of them, it might be acceptable to say.
I’m concerned by it in that if you say it’s a problem when someone has the power to lynch you, while that statement is true, it paves the way for the conclusion that you must therefore take away that power. Since lynching really doesn’t require all that much power at all, it follows that you must impose some fairly draconian controls to remove it.
Good point. It sounds better than it does when you think about it.
A perfect leftist slogan, in other words.
