Comment Reported for: Rule 12 - Falsehoods
Comment Approved: This appears to be the story of the song itself. To which, Mr. Frank was convicted and executed for. Is there some sort of evidence. Even if we were to accept that his execution was illegitimate, I'd have to be able to identify that OP knows that it was an illegitimate execution and is pretending it's not, which is quite a hard standard.
I know I'm pissing into the wind here, but what if I do know Frank's execution was illegitimate from a legal perspective? His conviction was legitimate, and even his posthumous pardon in the 80s did not include an exoneration. All that having been said, he did have his sentence commuted prior to his open-source hanging.
Still, I'm not sure how anything I said could be an obvious rule 12 violation.
In a hypothetical situation where you explicitly know Frank's execution to be illegitimate, even thought his conviction was legitimate, that wouldn't meet the standard of disinformation. Your original comment really doesn't relate to the the execution and execution only.
