Observe the average black person in the wild though. The way they drive, the way they walk down the street, they will slam a door on you when you're entering behind, etc. For a people that are supposed to be so oppressed they sure do walk around like they are the only thing important in the world.
Never had that experience. Is this not more of an African-American thing?
Exactly. I had a friend that worked in a state mental hospital. Due to the low pay, many of the medical staff were African immigrants. The African immigrants couldn't stand the American blacks due to their arrogant, disrespectful behavior.
Yeah I meant "African-American" non immigrant black. I don't know that it's a thing in Europe and every actual African I've met is usually really nice.
The thing I notice is tension. Either they're afraid of me or I'm afraid of them -- doesn't seem to be any in between because practically none of them are like me in the ways that make you think someone would be peaceful with you.
So I'm sure some "rudeness" does result from the caution. But who's upset by that?
With any random black person, it's the situation that we find ourselves in that is sketchy. And rarely have we enough time to get to trust each other. Never relax apparently cuts both ways, or at least blacks act like it does.
