Attorney Tony Buzbee: After a Five-Month Investigation, Texas Special Prosecutors Can't Locate Evidence of Ken Paxton's Alleged ...
Attorney General Ken Paxton is the one man who has stood up against the Democrat-Marxist onslaught in the great state of Texas.
Someone who continued to win office overwhelmingly despite this all being out in the open for years. The people have already spoken. The only ones that care about any of those allegations are raging leftists.
Impeachment is a political process under the guise of a trial. That's why the penalty is usually just removal from office. Because it would be ridiculous to jail somebody based on the votes of their political opponents.
The bar for impeachment is high because it risks being anti democratic. Imagine Democrats or any party had 2/3 seats . They could easily impeach the opposition. One way or another politicians aren't honest. Whether it comes to their own graft or the supposed graft of their opponents.
Counterpoint: Trials are a political process under the guise of "rule of law". :)
(no you're right but a lot of people don't appreciate the inherent cultural bias of the courts either)
When I was thinking that statement through I did come to realize there are more similarities than I had initially given it credit for.
I'm going to bet they try and make his return contingent on Paxton keeping silent about the people who turned the screws on him.
The old "sorry, but don't embarrass the party and we'll forgive and forget" approach. I just hope people realize how many politicians will turn on their own parties simply to maintain their own power.
