I don't get it. Why would any single Christian believe that Jews are "The Chosen". That seems kind of silly since they literally aren't following Christ (who is also technically God).
It was a rude awakening when I discovered premillennial dispensationalism was pretty much invented whole cloth in the late 19th century. That it is taken as undisputed truth by American Christians is really disconcerting.
I don't think that's right. I don't think that Christians are a "chosen people". They are simply a people who have come to accept God (as I understand it). There is nothing particularly special about Christians as a group except that they are following what God wanted. It's not that God chose them, it's that they chose God.

Nah the Jews were chosen to have the Messiah born among them. They were also punished for being petulant and disobedient throughout history lol
