It's especially infuriating when most of these faggots don't even buy the game when the devs decide to finally add their stupid language by checking the "has game" tag.

Some of us would. ;)
More people would be able to tell if they would learn the language. I actually think no matter what you believe about the war it's worthwhile to try and learn the language.
Now you got me curious. Why exactly is it worthwhile to learn Ukrainian, a bit of a peasant dialect with barely any literature written in it?
Well if you know Ukrainian you will understand 95% of Russian as well as a good amount of Slavic family languages.
The point being you will be able to read primary sources rather than others interpretations.
I agree, but why not learn Russian instead? Then you'll be able to read Dostoevsky in the original rather than some Cossack poems.
Either works honestly and you will understand both, though older works will of course be more difficult.
This seems like a lot of noise about nothing. So what if Ukraine gets a localization? So what if it's patriotically motivated? This hurts no one.
They make this argument about every ‘current thing’ change. What does it hurt you, who cares.
No.
I'm usually opposed to those on their face, though. I don't care about this.
If a Ukrainian wants to volunteer their time for free to localize a game, I have no problem with that. But devs have limited time and resources, and using those to increase their player base by a quarter of one percent is objectively a bad idea.
Yeah they don't usually re-localize English for different dialects, so I'm not sure why they'd do Ukrainian. Most people play games in English anyways, if they understand such. Cuz translated games suck as we know.
