People look back at the 360 era game lobbies with fondness for how unregulated it was…. Same company 16 years later let’s make it where no one wants to joke or talk trash in our game lobbies for fear of an account ban. This is going to do the opposite of getting people out of discord or party chats ( are they still called that? Haven’t had an Xbox in years) and getting them back into game chat.

Undoubtably they've got some monitoring and recording software in there working to create an AI voice out of every dude who uses Microsoft chat so that xXxBallSmasher4kxXx's voice (Spliced out of him giving call outs in Battlefield) will be able to tell White chicks to transition into men and that guys are terrible never reproduce.
Yes, but it used to be that you weren't absolutely required to play with 100% trusted friends over the internet for fear of having your account permanently banned platform-wide and potentially being doxed and having your work and family harassed until they fire and disown you.
Actually, probably will be automatic. I swear.. discord listens to everything people say in voice chat even if i didnt say it. Like someone in voice chat would say hippo. Someone else said it, i never mentioned it in a reply or anything. 30 minutes on youtube, i get videos for hippos..

it’s a new company using a Microsoft skin suite. The Microsoft that we know would not encourage a company to ruin Halo as bad as Infinite did.

Discord is completely unencrypted- so of course they permanently record it and run it through their spy/advertising systems to monitor you.
