indeed, therapy should always be the first resort. most people who claim to have gender dysphoria can be talked down and come to accept themselves if they were just given the opportunity to talk to the right people. there are still those where this wouldn't work. after extensive therapy if they cannot come to accept themselves, then hormone therapy would be the next step. sex change surgery should always be a last resort with a very high bar for approval, but I still maintain it should not be banned.
Agreed. They should try the correct hormones though. Maybe try suppressing estrogen in men / testosterone in women for a while, see if that helps.
There's no such thing as "sex change surgery". Any doctor cutting off a patient's non-cancerous functional sex organs is breaking his oath to Do No Harm and must be punished.
What the fuck? Just give people hormones? That's not without consequences.
Not only hormones. Hormone blockers too!
My point was have they even tried? A large aspect of the "condition" is social contagion and sexual fetish but I'm not convinced that a small number aren't caused by hormone imbalances including problems with our food and medicine as RFK hinted at recently. Soyboy meme exists for a reason. Hormones are already in our food supply and could be affecting how young people emotionally react to the world.
So if the hormones they give now as part of "gender affirming care" bullshit supposedly help trannies feel like the opposite sex they should have been born in, then they clearly have a real effect, so really they should try the opposite drugs - in combination with other psychiatric treatments including radical "deprogramming" like is done with cult members.
No I'm not a doctor and this is unqualified opinion, but wtf have they done to help so far? They've made the problem worse to make money.
I see what you mean now, I misunderstood. I would prefer people get out of the medical pharmaceutical complex and go more natural. We shouldn't be filling people with any of these hormones imo unless we have definitive proof of inadequate levels.
That is absurd reasoning. Utter non sequitur.
Therapy is why they get to the point of wanting to cut their balls off. It's the first step into the medical establishments plan to get these people to throw their lives away. Who do you think is pushing all this made up diagnoses?
