Yeah I'm kinda surprised it wasn't before this. Ottawa has been handing out needles for some time.
This is much different, that fell under 'health and safety' this is actively campaigning for people to smoke fentanyl publicly by giving them whatever they want.
Smoking it in public can cause serious health effects just from the secondhand smoke.
Not to mention having drug addicts around, which is dangerous as well.
One can only hope this creates a doom loop that eventually brings these cities back to reality, but I suspect that will be several generations.
Why do you think so many places suddenly did a 180 on pot? Its not like the government suddenly became "cool" and just let people have it because they really wanted it.
