You only assume anybody knows what you mean because it's entirely normal to think everybody's like you.
Nobody is, you have to actually explain what you mean. Also, it can get pretty interesting, actually engaging with other people. There are a LOT of really smart, talented, and creative people here from a wide variety of backgrounds.
