As a life long comic book reader Superman and Spider-Man are my favorites because they are idealistic and try to see the good in everyone. I’ve never heard of this guy David Corenswet but he is saying he wants to be a bright and optimistic Superman which is good but it does annoy me because Cavill wanted an inspirational Superman movie. I really wanted him to get at least one more movie. I hope it’s good but it is the modern era and I know Nerdrotic said Hollywood would have a problem with a white male being inspirational so there is that concern. I hope I’m pleasantly surprised

I get that. But Superman is different. Although I’m thinking of Superman 1.
Superhero movies are one of those things that got completely hijacked by normies and I just couldn't get interested in it.
Good point. I know it’s very nerdy but it really annoyed me at the height of the MCU to see all these normies who said they were so into comics. Then when you asked what they read they would say I watch movies. Comic industry listened to them instead of actual readers
The thing is I won't bullshit people about how I come across stuff to seem like I'm part of the 'in' crowd, Anime for instance, I got into it because I was introduced to Anime, I haven't read the manga or anything like that. Another example of something normies rave about is Breaking Bad, initially it did have a somewhat interesting premise but honestly? Bored me, like most shit normies rave about you can usually watch a few clips on youtube and you'll immediately get the gist of it and realise there aren't that many great bits in it beyond what people have been raving about.
I guess I’m a little higher than a normie in anime but I’m learning. Bought some manga for the first time ever this year. I guess what annoys me are the Twitter people who read a characters Wikipedia and then act like they have been a fan forever.
