Kratos was able to kick backwards mid roll to maneuver. Man had a frame and mass that was realistic for being incredibly agile, and that was far more of his build than raw gorilla strength like Johnson.
You are correct, but I expect something relatively close in terms of ability if not direct appearance when an adaptation is made. The GoW games are half platformer, and combat is half rolling around like a dark souls lunatic. You need someone who can at least give the appearance they could do either of those things.
Like, rock climbing is a real thing people do so its not unreasonable to expect someone who can at least look like they could do so when portraying a guy who spends literal weeks climbing up a Titan's back.

The real issue is, nobody is built like Kratos, and nobody can do what Kratos can do. Because he is a magical video game character.
