That "neighbor" is a term that includes your enemies seems to be a fairly recent belief.

Even the Love the Lord thy God with all your heart soul and mind and love your neighbor as yourself? But this has been a question I’ve been wondering about. Although the Good Samaritan is parable where she shows love to a total stranger. But I guess with people who mock the faith is what you are referring to?
