Mildly impressed that they put their money where there mouth is instead of doing the boilerplate virtue signal.
I'm interested to see how the black community responds to this, assuming it ever reaches them. I think that guy Tariq Nasheed (an anti-white with social conservative views) would be able to amplify it and get his followers to shit on Opera.
This. I've seen a couple ads for this thing and the whole premise of it just seemed pointless to me. I do not need a browser with integrated discord and twitch chat. And why on earth do I need social media and streaming services automatically built in?
Vivaldi I do not like personally, very bloat. The customisation is great but that's about it. Also another one that phones home and iirc they fingerprint your profile which also gets phones home. No thanks.
Yeah, I'd tried it and wasn't super impressed. Didn't know about the phone home, I just figured the guy was at least more trustworthy than whoever was running Opera after he left.
I remember discovering Opera in the early 2000's and using it for maybe a year or two before Firefox gained traction and the difference in speed compared to explorer was crazy.
Now that everything is chromium based, what does it matter.

If anything, Mr. Buck Breaking would be all over two men kissing.
It does seem pretty black and white with him.
Their browser is very much Spyware anyway. Last I saw someone dig into it it phones home a lot, has unneeded stuff that harvest data etc.
Didn't they sell out to China some years back? Is this an offshoot?
Still the same company, this is some browser for "gamers" and is some kinda off-shoot. Why someone would WANT a browser for gamers is beyond me.

The original creator of Opera went on to create Vivaldi anyway. Both it and the current, contemptibly fake Opera browser run off Chromium of course.

It’s the kiss your homies goodnight meme.
