To be honest Africa has more of a shot of stopping this. The US can't do military in Africa after the last time (cough Somalia) and there's been some more tension after the Russia/Ukraine conflict when the Biden admin tried to pressure African countries not to buy Russian grain which they promptly went 'fuck off, we're not letting our people starve'

The US already has a bunch of special forces in Africa right now running around trying to harass black muslim militias & bandits.
