And then when they didn't want to submit, he just killed them and shipped their children off to reeducation camps. They've padded out their army with murderers and rapists dumped from the prison system.
This is not a spiritual leader or great thinker. He's just a politician with unfettered power. His speech is just a hill climbing algorithm that says what provides the most immediate benefit to himself.
Ukraine is on Russia’s literal border. He doesn’t need a justification past the NATO military buildup right on his border. America would never ever allow China or Russia to buildup military resources in Mexico in the same way. And the Iraq war alone completely obliterates any American credibility to complain in the first place.
