This story doesn't add up:
Take a look at this woman. You really think she was able to overpower a man who apparently said he wanted to kill her during a confrontation and then strangle him to death with a t-shirt? And she was so scared for her life she decided to stuff the man's body in a bag and drag him into the street.
Something doesn't add up at all here. I think she's guilty of something. 6 years is probably too short for what she's guilty of but difficult to prove anything given the circumstances. Honestly, it seems like justice was done here.
I'm going to make up a wild story like this.
I think you've got the real story down.
Unfortunately we'll never know the full story, if she was actually raped or if she just changed her mind in sleeping with the dude after she invited him in.
Innocent people would call the fuzz immediately after and not try to dispose of a body.
I don't know the sentencing in Mexico, but 6 years is light even for homicide- So this article is clearly missing something instead of -Woman kills rapist, gets prisoned for it-
The court complicates that picture by acknowledging that she was defending herself from rape, instead of just going with a theory of simple murder
I'm not saying it's impossible, but it would be extremely hard to strangle someone with a T-shirt.
There's a reason they use thick material for judo and jiujitsu gis. If the gi wasn't thick and resistant, it would not only tear easily, but it would take much greater force to do stuff like collar chokes, since the cloth would stretch to some extent.
The one time I got into a actually fight, my t-shirt tore nearly completely and I was actually in control most of the time. Damn shame, I liked that shirt.
It would be pretty hard to do it if the guy was resisting. As someone else mentioned, he likely was passed out drunk and that's when she decided to strangle him, presuming that's even how she killed him.
