There's so much to unpack here and it's only a few posts but the level of ignorance is astounding. People who attend public school do not become socialised, they're shit heads and every new generation that come out of school and goes to university proves that to me with every extremely aggressive and ignorant opinion they decide to spew off online. The worse part is though they act like this offline as well and are only capable of hanging out in one or two cliques.
Not only are they not 'socialised' they've become massive social retards who actually can't take it when somebody dares to have a disagreement with them even in the most polite manner. University is a fucking day care centre and you have students who are supposed to be adult sperging out and having temper tantrums just because somebody they don't like was allowed to speak by the administration.
Possibly the worse crime of these fucking NPCs is how they are deliberately avoiding the issues conservatives are bringing up instead of investigating it. They act like they're the intellectually superior race but honestly their research standards are a fucking joke, I guarantee these are the types of people who look at the first page of google and assume that's all there is to a news story.
Well done OP on finding this one because as somebody who hates school with a passion and found I learned far better ignoring everything I was taught and rescuing my own education this pissed me off. What a bunch of insufferable elitist shit heads and the worse part is they really do think they're smart.
These retards probably go to upper middle class schools in relatively wealthy areas and conclude that all schools are like that. Don't get me wrong, even schools like that have a list a mile long of things wrong with them, but you can tell none of these NPCs have any idea what the average school is even like.
And the ignorance and arrogance to imply that deciding to homeschool equates to deciding not to educate one's children. This is why it is borderline impossible to have a productive discussion with retards like this. I got quite a good education growing up in public schools despite their faults, and I'm still 100% confident I could provide a better, more effective education for my kids by myself. I'd have my kids doing calculus by 14. And as schools and society get shittier and shittier, I become more and more convinced as the years go by that that is exactly what I'll have to do.
I agree it's almost guaranteed they're posh as fuck, I'm in a middle class family but my education was a total shitshow because of the area I grew up in. You can imagine how much these retards piss me off being someone who's self-taught in two programming languages and partially learning a third ( Been experimenting with the unreal engine ) among a multitude of different other skills that I got outside the school system. Not self-taught but there are ways to learn things, mostly private tuition or courses etc. that aren't shit.
Even with the other places that I've observed and presumably higher levels of education, these institutions are a joke these people are the very definition of a circle jerk and like a lot of boomers and generation x'ers they're basing their view of education on something they've made up in their heads rather than reality. Or more likely what they went through is dramatically out of date compared to what current generations are dealing with.

Yeah this made me think a bit and realistically, for me as well, the skills that have paid the most dividends for me in life are ones I taught myself on my own time. While going to school for chemistry and mathematics for years helped land me a nice career, I frequently tell people that there the 95+% of it is useless to me and that all the knowledge you need for my job could be taught in under a month.
Formal education institutions are disgustingly inefficient. I can forgive it to some extent through high school as most of the little shits don't even wanna be there, but in college there's no excuse not to have the highest of standards.
but in college there's no excuse not to have the highest of standards.
College used to be much harder. Then they figured out how much money they could make if they lowered their admission standards and jacked up tuition. Now it's basically high school that you pay the price of a house to attend.

The task of making a plan to teach the basic skills expected from primary education seems impossibly difficult to them, and they assume everyone who does it is even more inept than them because they're obviously intellectually superior to those crazy home schoolers. Teacher told them as much.

And you know for a fact they'd probably clap like seals to any post of "what school never taught me".
They're socialized in the same way gang members are socialized.
