I wish they would, because the premise of both Redfall and Deathloop instantly hooked me in concept only for the execution to be so bad that I will never, ever want to experience what could have been a very good story, if only everyone involved wasn't a retard. It's like they have their only talented guy busy thinking up cool ideas that they immediately hand off to a band of drooling nincompoops.
Well the premise seems interesting in the sense of vampire hunters vs vampire gods, but the second I read "scientist created vampires trying to save his daughter and became their god", I knew it would be shit.
It would be good if it were just Borderlands or Dead Island with vampires, that's a pretty low bar too, but they insisted on making it more grounded and over-explaining everything in the summary articles.
Yeah. Mysterious "Vampire gods" that come out of nowhere, block off a small town, warp away the sun and the sea with strange powers and establish a cult that you have to figure out the mystery behind and kill your way through? Sounds badass. Personally, I don't object to the broad strokes of the route they chose, although I can understand why one might. The particulars of every character and all the gameplay involved, however, are irredeemably slathered in woke incompetence. As is tradition in modern AAA gaming, I suppose.
They've gone all in on the diversity myth and seem to think that pushing woke is a substitute for quality. This is the same mindset Hollywood has adopted.
They're not going to stop until everything on a TV screen in any media format is complete garbage.
