There's no such thing as a human hermaphrodite. Intersex people exist who due to a birth defect possess some blend of male and female traits (like Caster Semenya), but the human body is not structured in such a way that it's possible for both male and female genitalia to develop.
Hermaphrodite in a sense that people can be born with both male and female genitals. But usually one is underdeveloped/non functioning. Of course, you cant self fertilize. When you are a fetus in early stages, you start out looking the same psyiologically wise. Its why guys have nipples. But the common sexual organs later develop. Look up Persistent Mullerian Syndrome. Its when mullerian tubes develop into female organs in a male.
