Well on one hand he's right, they will only use the debates as a charade to cheat and the media will refuse to show the population any victories he attains through them.
There's a middle ground he needs to find, unfortunately they aren't making it easy for him.
Not sure how he's the bad guy when they completely molested the debate format to the point where it is propaganda though...
Trump absolutely crushed it in the 2016 primary debates. Does he believe that he somehow cannot do the same in the 2024 primaries against a field of DeSantis, Haley, Scott, Ramaswamy, Pence, Christie and maybe Sununu?
Out of the people running a max of four people will be any good in a debate: DeSantis, Christie, Ramaswamy and Pence.
Why not debate this field if he is the frontrunner? Is there something for him to be afraid of?
I can understand Trump not wanting to do a biased debate with Dem moderators for the general election against Biden.
I would say it is important for all future GOP nominees to avoid a Chris Wallace Biden tag team type scenario.
Him complaining already about the fucking primary debates is just a huge sign of weakness though.
This is more a change in the landscapes than anything you are describing.
You can't keep playing a rigged game and hoping it will fix itself. Debates as a format are dead, unfortunately or fortunately depending on how you look at it.
This is one of the problems with ignoring things that are changed for the worse over time, they eventually become impossible to use after enough changes.
None of this matters though because the methods of voting are rigged. Until that changes this is all meaningless bullshit, because cheating is not only occurring but increasing at a record rate with nothing to stop it.
If I was Trump I'd ignore everything outside of this one, incredibly important issue. After this election it will be impossible to fix.
I'm not sure but you better hope he does, because he's the last chance to fix it before the broken, easily cheated methods implemented recently will never go away and we won't see another fair election in our lifetime.
Pretending that the only way to 'fix' the election system is to win is so absurd I don't even know how to counter that argument. You are suggesting something impossible needs to occur before something rational.
So according to you it is better to give up and just ignore that Trump is the only potential candidate on either side who will fix election integrity.
Clearly no other candidate is going to even mention it, so your plan is to erode Trumps base in order to guarantee we are fucked instead of come to the conclusion that even though he isn't perfect Trump represents the ONLY possible option?
At some point you'll have to realize this basic fact.
If you think Trump is the ONLY option in 2024 then you are sorely mistaken.
Why is that you rather complain about stolen elections and lose future election after election. I want to nominate someone new who is less toxic to independent voters and doesn't supercharge Dem turnout so we can win despite the margin of fraud.
If you win 2024 then you can implement election integrity measures.
I am America first not Trump first. I care more about preventing a Biden second term than prioritizing a Trump revenge tour that will fail.
Here's the thing. When Trump first ran, the mainstream news didn't understand how to cover Trump. Trump's initial run worked off the "any media coverage is good media coverage" motif but that's not true today. The media has figured out how to cover Trump now to hurt him. Trump knows this and is adapting.
Trump is far more venerable now than he was 7 years ago. That is a true statement. That doesn't mean he's not the right candidate though. I don't like Trump but I don't think this decision should have anything to do with whether you like or don't like Trump.

Trump should not do MSM or GOP hosted debates. The candidates all need to get together and set something up.

How is Trump going to improve election integrity in the swing states before 2024?
The GOP candidates lost the 2022 governor races in AZ, WI, MI and PA so what now?
The swing state GOP controlled legislatures can try to pass good election integrity bills but the Dems governors will just veto them.
The only way you can fix election integrity is by winning elections and passing good laws.
I'm not sure but you better hope he does, because he's the last chance to fix it before the broken, easily cheated methods implemented recently will never go away and we won't see another fair election in our lifetime.

It is not up to me.
If you want improved election integrity you need swing state legislators to pass laws and for governors to sign those laws.
GOP governor candidates in 2022 lost in the swing states.
Dem governors won't sign any election integrity laws.
So what now?
Trump is not a magician. How is he going to solve this issue?
We need to run someone in 2024 who doesn't supercharge Dem turnout. We need to run someone in 2024 who doesn't alienate independent voters.
We need someone who can win past the margin of fraud with the current rules in place.
Trump is not capable of achieving this.
So according to you it is better to give up and just ignore that Trump is the only potential candidate on either side who will fix election integrity.
