I remember Milo spoke about IQ distribution on Sky News years ago. Essentially the bell curve which explains why there are so many male chess grandmasters but also why men fill the prisons.
I believe there is a correlation between IQ and impulse control
That doesn't sound right. Impulse control is industriousness, an aspect of personality. IQ is intelligence, which isn't a personality trait. There are intelligent impulsive people and slow diligent people.
As Paglia likes to say, there is no female Mozart because there is no female Jack the Ripper.
The male IQ distribution has a larger SD, so more geniuses and more idiots compared to women. Also, the mean for men is higher than for women. Not much, but it is.
Generally speaking, men need to be inventive because they deal with the world, where one brilliant move can potentially provide for generations. Women are dealing with small children, where "creative solutions" are...undesirable and consistency is more useful.

Prison is more about disagreeableness instead of intelligence. Men are more disagreeable than women.

Men are exceptional; women are average.
