It’s honestly amusing at this point.

So, I'm technically right...
The whole "immaculate conception" angle was dumb even when it was George Lucas trying to sell it. I've always just assumed that Shmi was lying.
"Master Gui-Gon, it's good to see you again! It's been, what, ten years?"
I mean, it was very clearly going for the whole “Jesus” angle…
Not that this disproves your point, but that was very much Lucas’ original idea, lol…
Which is… Cringe.
But hey, the prequels, while mostly awful (watching “Clones” again as an adult - wow it’s bad), were at least pretty original! I’ll give them that much, lol.
Which might have been interesting, except the audience knows how it turns out.
Then in Episode 2, Obi-Wan looks so much like Jesus that Catholic grandmothers have his picture on the wall.
😂😂😂
Ah, that’s a good point, lol…
I had actually forgotten that fact, to be honest!
What a time that was, wiew…
They’re such strange, strange movies, the Prequels…
I mean, it’s clearly “Star Wars”, but even a lot of the EU stuff was much more… Logical, than what we ended up with…
But they did give us “I hate sand”, which is something, I guess…
I thought episode 3 made it clear that Palpatine was behind the immaculate conception. When he's talking to Anakin at the water opera thing he mentions a sith master who had managed to create life, then Palpatine and Anakin look at each other.
True, but I’d be willing to bet that was added during the six year gap between Episodes 1 and 3 after Lucas saw the negative fan reaction.
