Yeah, I hate it when people can make custom things for games. It shouldn't be allowed if I don't like it. /s
Honestly though muting Ashley's breathing would help you sense where an enemy is because they make noise just like she does. Hushing one sound can help surround sound identify where some of those villagers in the cable car section and cultists in the castle area are later in the game that can only be taken out by ranged attacks. That is, if they kept those few in.
Maybe its because I don't play with headphones, but I never heard her breathing enough to notice. Especially not to be detrimental to hearing enemies, who aren't loud but are noticeable regardless. But if it is an issue for you, the mod exists and everyone is happy.
Also cable car is gone, which I don't mind as it was always just a rifle ammo sink with little challenge.

Perhaps I'm thinking of a different section, but I assumed the one to the Village Chief. And since I'm not retarded enough to keep the Punisher, Rifle penetration kills the guys riding up 3 at a time per shot with perfect aim.
Polykills are nice, but the Red9 w/ stock was stable enough and I usually try to keep my rifle ammo to two boxes.
As I replayed OG RE4 and tried different guns, I've grown an appreciation for the TMP and its cheap ammo just for melee setups, and it would also be used for the cable car segment. No stock though.
