The more I learn about WW2 and especially Germany leading up to it truly does shake everything I was taught growing up.

You really start to understand the average German person when literally the exact same thing is happening now. All of this happened to them and literally none of it was taught in any school I went to, any historical documentary I saw or any off the shelf book about the war.

I do wonder what will be the breaking point though. We do have a bit to go til we reach the peak degeneracy of the Weimer Republic but I'm not sure in the US at least they're be a political movement to overthrow it when it reaches that point. More than likely you'll have states that decide to leave the union when that madness comes and hopefully it dissolve quickly once that shooting war begins.

It literally happened in Weimar Germany, and public disgust with it led to the rise of the Nazis: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_homosexual_movement

Hitler happened because of a combination of communists and LGBT degenerates causing both a political and moral panic among ordinary Germans.

My take is this:

  • Option 1: The Democrats lose big in 2024 as DeSantis ushers in a Red tsunami not seen since Reagan. The Democrats are crushed, demoralized, and take the lesson that they need to knife wokes / intersectionals in the back and redefine the party as more moderate in order to avoid being shut out in elections for the next 8+ years.

OR

  • Option 2: the Democrats double down on mental illness and keep on pushing woke bullshit. They will lose a lot more federal elections, but will cope by seeking total domination in Blue states. Blue states will get crazier, accelerating the growing Red/Blue divide as right wingers flee Blue states en masse. Blue states cope with federal election defeats by trying to fight fed involvement in their states, which will hasten the eventual "national divorce".

I know and learning that really did shake the faith in the education I was brought up in. The biggest black pill was learning exactly what books were being burned by the Nazi's in the famous photo that's always paraded around and the building those books came from.

I just don't think in this go around it'll lead to a Nazi like movement rising up in opposition but if anything a civil war, in the US at least.

Although my personal opinion is that with how things are accelerating we'll be embroiled in a World War before that happens. History may or may not repeat but it sure does rhyme.

History may or may not repeat but it sure does rhyme.

Hell I think our current politics are a repeat of the cycle from 40 years ago:

Nixon = Trump

Carter = Biden

DeSantis = Reagan

The simulation's algo likes to recycle its procedural generation.

Leftist propaganda article, but it does tell what we're fighting against is the same demonic impetus that has always existed.

Option 3: Republicans and conservative voters continue to remain divided, and democrats once again eke out a victory.

It happened in 2022, and Trump hasn’t gone away yet so it’ll happen in 2024.

I'm confident Trump will be put out to pasture this cycle. He's been acting like a clown and people are getting sick of it. At his latest rally he went off on DeSantis and the crowd was dead silent.

Or a slight variation to your scenario, conservative voters are too cowardly and cucked to do anything except to complain about it.

I agree those would be the two likely outcomes if we had secure elections.

Thus the meme, "And for no reason at all, the people voted Hitler into power." The motivations for the rise of the NSDAP party is not taught. Now that we're living that era ourselves, suddenly it all makes sense. Hiding that lead up has significantly delayed the collective awakening.

Their mistake is that it is happening all over the west now and not isolated to one country, the coming uprising cannot be quenched due to there being so many young men on our side in every country.
