never. capcom is sitting on two really strong franchises right now. MH and RE. Sadly they're the next big japanese company in being globohomod. Well them or bandai...
Seriously wtf does drag have to do with dinosaur edf?
Monster Hunter is so bizarre. It’s incredibly popular and obviously has high production values… but it controls like complete ass. I know it’s a deliberate game design choice, but that honestly just makes it even worse.
I never saw the hype, I tried one of them on the 3DS years ago and it just felt so mediocre. Only one I enjoyed was Monster Hunter Stories which was a turn based RPG style spin off.
They also have Street Fighter which is dominant in the FGC esport scene, and its a cash cow since they can milk it for the next seven years with season passes/DLC.
Capcom has basically become a western company by removing all of its Japanese charm. I remember in the 90's and early 2000's it felt like they made games for everybody from quirky niche stuff like Power Stone to edgier stuff like Devil May Cry, and they even had a solid JRPG series with Breath Of Fire during the JRPG boom.
Now they just basically do SF, RE, and MH, and they occasionally throw older fans a bone with a retro collection or if were lucky a new Mega Man. The fact that they're also making games appeal more to the "modern audience" with stuff like Ashley's skorts or the trannies and forced diversity in SF6 shows its not the same Capcom anymore.
So corporate degeneracy in every aspect. How close to going financially bankrupt are they?
It’s Capcom, if they’re ever in trouble there’s like, fifteen games they can remake or put into an anniversary collection to get back into the black.
Cries in MegaMan
or be Konami and turn their ips into pachinko machines
