I'd love it if you were correct, but I don't think you are. Some people can get by without religion, but there are plenty who do need it.
Also, even the people who are functional without God often end up still being the most religious in belief structure; they just find something more secular to worship, like the State, Climate, "Equality," LGBTQWTFBBQ2S+, what have you. Humans seem to be, for better or worse, worshippers. They need something greater than themselves to believe in, whether that be spiritual/religious, or worldly.
In a left vs right context, look where most of the atheists are. Which would you say have a better moral framework, the more religious right, or the more atheist left?

"Atheism" is as much a cult as any of the big name organized cults that insist on being called "religions", since they think that sounds more respectable, and they all have twisted morals as dictated by their priest class.
I'm old enough to see what shenanigans were had when the religious right had cultural power, decades ago. You think this shit is unique to the retard left? We have drag queen pedophiles instead of cardinal pedophiles, things being censored for not being "inclusive" instead of for being "blasphemous", "racism" is the big problem and root cause of evil instead of "satan", etc etc.
I refuse to believe we cannot beat the demon of religiosity that burrows deep in the heart of the species. People are "worshippers" because the culture is steeped in worship. Worship of goods, worships of gods, worship of institutions, worship of babies, worship of the self, etc. If we can excise the worship from our cultures bit by bit, we'll excise the religiosity from mankind the same way.
We don't need to be the slack-jawed morons staring at a thunderstorm and going "THIS IS THE WILL OF THE GODS".

Cardinal pedophiles were never accepted by the people, and acceptance for them was never openly pushed. They exist due to simple corruption, not religion or anything else. The exact same thing occurs in other groups, regardless of religion or lack thereof. Some people get power, and then stick up for each other no matter the faults.
And true communism has never been tried. Once we perfect the system, the people will be perfect too. Doesn't work like that.
