It isn't a revolutionary masterpiece, but it's nice to look at, plays well enough, has a solid soundtrack, and has minimal performance issues. I have also yet to be confronted with degenerate propaganda. It's a good game, and that is a refreshing change of pace for a newly released title.
Played a bit, it wasn’t bad. Looks great, performance is pretty good. It’s pretty much a more modern take on Bioshock with a bigger focus on melee combat. The translation is pretty wacky, if you’ve played any Russian games you’ll probably know what you’re in for as far as tone and humor goes. It’s on Gamepass as well.
It's a great first attempt from a new studio, that's the impression I got from the livestreams and reviews. There's a missteps with the plot, some of the design choices in progression and the like but it's not a bad first outing.
It just isn't the level of a Bioshock that a veteran studio can do so that's where some of the disappointment is coming from.
It's a lot more jank than you would expect. Also the open world is a joke. Tgat said, despite the jank, it was shockingly optimized well on pc, which is fucking rare. The jank comes from poor design philosophy. Also no FOV at launch, which is a sin.

Here's a 30 minute review from Synthetic Man. He brings up a lot of good points.

I've been hearing that it's kinda janky, but certainly playable. And, you know... roboobies and/or robutts.

Unsure. Razorfist was streaming it on Friday (recording here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5NUGmkkawE https://redirect.invidious.io/watch?v=S5NUGmkkawE) and I watched it for nearly 2 hours and saw about 20 minutes of actual gameplay. I guess if you like the play style of Bioshock you might like it.
If they are bitching about it, it's probably good.
From what I gather, I get a "been there, done that" impression, with way too much dialogue.
