Pertinent quote from the results section of the publication:
Most people who come from a socio-economically less favorable background do not commit more crime than people who come from a more favorable background, and it also happens that people from a more favorable background do commit crime. This means that even if there is a connection between socio-economic background and involvement in crime, that connection is weak. It is not possible to appreciably predict who will commit crimes based on knowledge of people's socio-economic background.

Cubans are a revival of anti communist sentiments and are the most “conservative” of Hispanic voting blocks, this has allowed republicans to basically make a stranglehold on Florida in former liberal areas and what has allowed DeSantis and the Florida state legislature to act so boldly in what used to be a purple state
I see, it's like Romanians being very anti communist thanks to Ceausescu. Thanks for information.
And Greeks, and East Germans, and Czechs... lots of actual refugees from commie countries here
The Cuban exile population in places like Miami is full of anti-communists and opponents of the Cuban regime. They oppose and 'nope out' of leftist indoctrination, since it's ruined their homeland in living memory. 'Once burned, twice shy,' as they say.
Since the Castro's were cause celebre among the left (See Justin Castro, up in Cannukistan) that particular segment of the Latino demographic skew right and Catholic in statistically significant ways.
It's a powerful ethnic voting block in Florida as a result.
Lmao so why did he leave if it was so awesome?
