I’m convinced Yahoo is run by the lgbt mafia. This is all they report on. Also, I’m sick of these stories. They knew full well where the church stood on this issue. I know this woman who taught at a Catholic school came out as lesbian and they fired her. She tried to sue but failed. She knew what the church taught. Makes me sad seeing so many churches trying to appease the world with this issue. I’m going to go work at a Muslim school and whine when they fire me for trying to serve pork chops in the cafeteria.
I do my best to show love and compassion to the gay people I know along with everyone else. If they want to have a theological discussion I’ll have one. Otherwise I don’t talk about the Bible since they aren’t interested. I’m sick of this “the only way to show love is by full acceptance” mentality so many churches have adopted. Jesus said you will be hated. Doesn’t get much clearer than that
This is such a feminine thing, btw. I ruined many of my female friendships because I told my girl friends that they were doing dumb, dangerous and self-destructive things.
They just get angry about not feeling supported.
Not only did the parents know what the church believed, they signed a contract/belief statement where they agreed to uphold those beliefs so their children could go to that school.
If you no longer believe what your church believes, leave and find another rather than antagonizing that church and it's members to the point where they force you out. Two wrongs do not make a right, nor do two rudes make a polite.
My church won't let you become a member if you're not married and are living together, to be clear you can still attend and enjoy every benefit except voting without becoming a member. Pretty sure they knew what was up before hand.

Amen to that

Agreed.
