Being expected to pay $60 for a game that doesn't have something as bog standard as an FoV slider in a FPS shooter is inexcusable and reeks of "2008 tier PC port".
What you guys seem to be missing is that requiring a user to have enough wherewithal to open a .ini file serves to gatekeep the masses. Letting everyone in by making things too accessible has lead to a lot of problems.
Maybe that's not the ideal vector to use for gatekeeping, but it's one I'd be willing to tolerate.
While it's not particularly hard to do, it's not the the user's job.
Why wouldn't it be? It's PC gaming after all, altering your game is your prerogative.
