people willing to compromise (for no gain but their own hedonism and laziness)
Especially considering the original is still out there to play. Nobody is lacking in entertainment options or should have a fear of missing out by not playing the remake.
Probably the thing that got me the most was the altered poster with the mixed race couple. It really made their whole agenda transparent. They could have made it a Black couple, an Asian couple, or a lesbian couple, or they could have made no changes at all. Heck why not a Black woman and White man? But like all the commercials we see on TV, it's a Black man and White woman. It's a deliberate effort to social engineer society into accepting this form of interracial relationship, and perhaps some troon artist who gets off on "owning the cons". I used to not care but once you notice it's hard not to see it.
(Ok the thing that really got to me was uggifying everyone and shrinking boob sizes, but the poster was a close second.)

The fun part is. There is considerable change made to the game itself. Enough to set it apart from the original and be worth playing at a 20-30$ level. They made major alterations to the combat and exploration, enough to make playing it quite different from the original.
But, because they made such agenda changes, literally no one has even noticed or talked about them. The side that was pro- about such things will only revel in them while dunking on the haters. The side that hates such will only focus on those things and dismiss it.
All the huge amounts of effort into the graphical upgrades and gameplay efforts, thrown away for a few little details done by the art guys.
uggifying everyone
Honestly, having seen footage of the game and talked with people about it, this seems to be less of a woke problem and more of the industry wide "MOCAP EVERYTHING!!" reaching its uncanny valley. Not that they didn't uglify things, but that there is something more than just unattractiveness that makes the characters offputting.

This particular coupling has been a social engineering thing for decades. Its one of the least popular real life couples, but one of the most popular in all forms of media. From sitcoms to porn, it always is that exact coupling to the point where the ideas of it have actually effect society (such as BBC being an unironic topic people base relationships on).
When the reality is that this duo only really happens in real life to any major extent due to drugs. Black dudes are always the ones with drugs, so the white girls flock to them when they want to become junkies. Its one of the reasons why even "not racist" parents don't want their daughters dating them, because they know what's going on.

No, it's absolutely a woke problem.
The Japanese use the EXACT same LiDAR and photogrammetry tech. Yet, when you look at games like Yakuza or Judgment or Sekiro or Ghostwire, their characters don't look anything like the hideous abominations in Western games.
The artists purposely distort and uglify the characters. Mass Effect Andromeda was a perfect example of that, as the male character looked identical to his real life counterpart, but the female character was made to look hideous and derpy.
But that feeds back into another massive issue with all of this brainwashing propaganda: People keep making excuses for it and justifying it by hand-waving it away when it appears, no matter how big or small.
No excuse was made. You notice how you cut off my second sentence where I acknowledged it absolutely was uglified too, just so you can soapbox rant?
God forbid I point out that an issue isn't a simple X, but probably X and Y together making something horrible. Nah, everything needs to be a simple clickbait outrage apparently.

You're completely missing the point by getting emotional. I explicitly used the Japanese example to point out that it's not a tech problem. We don't see this issue with South Korean, Chinese, or Japanese games. Why?
You're saying it's a woke problem and tech problem, but that doesn't fly because the examples I used don't have the issue that Western games do, only Western games are having that problem using the EXACT same technology. Why?
Do you see my point? It's not an "X and Y together making something horrible" when we know for a fact that other Asian companies use the exact same Y and none of their stuff comes out looking horrible. Why?
