I don't see the problem with pointing out "hey, this party claiming it represents group X actually pursues policies that disproportionately harm that very same group.
There are worse examples of GOP pandering.
That's not what they are doing. The urban blacks they are pretending to care about have a decades-long one-party loyalty to the Dems even as their cities have been shit that entire time. That relationship works on machine politics and the Dems' relationship with black churches. The GOP isn't winning them over, and they know it. They are selling ideology to their existing voters.
...Yes, so what's wrong statement that might prompt some of them to open their eyes and leave the democrat plantation?
The best thing blacks could do for themselves is stop voting in democrats whose interest in them begins and ends with keeping them dependent on welfare.
Generally its considered bad form to waste time on pipe dreams, especially to the detriment and outright ignoring of actual tangible results you can get from your efforts on those who have been supporting you.
Trump had some of the greatest improvement to black lives of any president in memory, while Biden outright told them he was the arbiter of if they counted as black or not. All that work spent for 4 years of helping them, including not putting half their adult population in prison for BLM rioting amounted to a whopping 3% of them "leaving the plantation." With a full 90% still voting for the blue.
Trump's refusal to crack down on the BLM riots was the soft bigotry of low expectations and it did absolutely nothing to help black people.
If Trump wanted to help black people, he should have exposed democrat lies. Black people live their lives believing thousands of unarmed blacks are shot by cops every year. The real number is about ten.
He should have denounced Floyd of the junkie he was and put Floyd's record on blast. Instead, Floyd's criminal history was info you would only find if you watched Tucker Carlson or followed the right youtube and twitter accounts.
Trump did nothing to combat the left's stranglehold on discourse. He had absolute tunnel vision on the economy.
As for 'wasting time on pipe dreams', a tweet takes literal seconds.
And look where it got them. Like Trump said: what do you have to lose by backing the GOP?
Agree. But is that a problem?
That didn't work at all. The GOP continues to get its usual ~10% of the black vote.
Which part, the Dems' relationship with black voters or the GOP's soft pedaling black idpol to its voters?
It didn't. I think the focus on blacks was a mistake, esp. as the GOP got +10% of the Latino vote by simply not being retarded. Imagine if they had focused on that more (and I know you probably wouldn't like that).
I just don't see how pointing out Dems' harmful policies to the people they use as their mascots is "black IDPol".
If there were ever a politician who could have captured black votes away from Democrats, it would have been Trump.
Instead, because of how the political machine works, now they all think he's a big racist.
The GOP knows they aren't winning the black vote. They just don't want to openly be the "White Party" because that spooks their Jew handlers. It's their role to wrangle their white voter base into supporting shitty, self-destructive views and policies. They want their white voters to be deracinated and politically impotent. The GOP isn't trying to sell themselves to black voters. They are trying to sell their own brand of diversity to their white voters. That's the point of this type of messaging.
That really painful "war on women" Trump speech? God I'm glad he never repeated it. That thing should have stayed in Ivanka's warped mind.
