I don't necessarily think so. A lot of young white people have to see the constant negro worship as absurd so I wouldn't be surprised to see ridicule like this in response.
I can also imagine that the girl they sent it to could be a totally insufferable race hustling teenage girl.
However, "As a Catholic educational institution that seeks to form Women of Faith and Integrity, we view racism as a mortal sin," is the more important story.

You can expand this beyond the Catholic Church and into the wider so-called right/conservativism. The default response to this is to disbelieve this story which carries with it the implication that if the girls did this violation of the doctrines of political correctness, that they've committed a grave sin. It is one of the ways that many so-called conservative institutions enforce political correctness while pretending to be against it.
I get where you are coming from. This does seem too on the nose. But let’s say it’s legit…… so what. A white person painting themselves as black and posting a video shouldn’t ruin your day.
Combining a couple thoughts from here. Constant messaging of holy diversity from boring, annoying teachers/preachers and add in typical teenage edginess/"rebellion", and it is bound to happen.
I might guess the powers that be would expect this, and will use it to censor commentators who also make racy jokes.
Teenagers always said dumb shit amongst themselves, but they didn't used to post videos of every single thing online.
Somewhere there is a video of my friends and I smoking weed and saying dumb shit. That was one time I stupidly got on tape, and putting it from tape onto the internet would have been a whole ordeal, so I'm pretty sure it never got online.
Until my Dad goes to extract data from his DV tapes and someone send an mp4 of it back.

My guess is they'll be outed as hispanic like the "White power" hoax in Idaho.
Ok I woulda laughed at that though
