Why is it not okay to play their game against them?
Because leftism is wrong. Recognizing the individual as distinct from the group is logically and morally correct. Collectivism is a simple ideological tool for authoritarians. Collectivists are typically moronic shock troops used for sociopaths to gain power.
See the rise of communism or nearly any other authoritarian ideology. Judge people based on their actions and choices, that is fine. Profiling based on demographic can be a useful tool. But pure collectivist behavior is for brainlet tools. And I mean tool in the literal sense - people that fall for that shit are puppets.
Well put. A lot of politics these days consists of being shitty and then saying it’s okay because the other side was shitty in an equivalent way, while nevertheless reserving the right to call out the same behavior as bad the next time the other side does it. People can wax tough about realpolitik all they want, but I’m not playing the game if it’s two different bad guys opposing each other. One side has to do things the right way, even if it might be more useful or convenient to do things the wrong way to score a point or make a gain.
And I’m with you, ultimately, the right way is treating people as individuals, both for plaudits and accountability, and never expecting, insisting, or requiring everyone to “represent” whatever group someone else thinks they belong to.
I assume that as an individualist you have major objections to Zionism.
How is playing it like this in any way productive, effective, or efficient? All it does is make you and everyone around you look like a damn fool. You could try and fine-tune your focus so it's not such a senseless mess.
