Shakespeare gets a bad wrap because they make it a forced part of English lessons in a lot of countries and as ALL of us can probably relate to when you are forced through the Education system you learn less than when you are just doing it in your free time.
I'm surprised they'd even learn about indigenous people for more than a talking point as maybe they can mention the time the Canadian mounties went round on government orders genociding huskies by the tens of thousands to stop inuit migration...

Yeah, they could probably interest students in Shakespear by relating current works to his story archetypes but...nah; just brute force your way through 400 year old plays where the language is barely recognizable, that's how public education works!
