Once again, would you ban a photo of a person doing a revolutionary war reenactment and wearing a redcoat? My meme was no different other than the completely unhinged take you and DoM put on it. Or do you forget where you said you would ban a meme of someone dressed as hitler for “inciting violence”. There is just as much onus on milk and the ok sign for being “symbols of violence” as a meme of a redcoat.
People aren't actually shot during re-enactments.
Can you at least try to understand the different perspective? People are not out to get you, and if I disagreed with DoM, I'd straight up tell you (or at least not defend the action). The logic is as follows: by analogizing the FBI to the Redcoats, and since it is a commonplace in American culture that shooting at the Redcoats was justified, it follows from that that shooting at the FBI is justified.
Maybe an analogy would help you. Scum like David Frum has analogized Trump and his actions to Charles I, who was judicially murdered, and the Rosenbergs, who were executed. I think that is an incitement to violence, although obviously, the power centers did not get mad about that.
Now can you see how this could create trouble? If DoM sees it like this, and I see it like this, don't you think the powers that be may also?
If I said that, then either I forgot, or your presentation here is different. Because I don't see how that alone would be inciting violence.
And no one was shot over a redcoat meme either, magically the Donald had no issue with it.
You and DoM were fully unhinged, there is no “perspective” that makes it not completely insane. Both of your arguments were “Americans once killed redcoats so any likeness of redcoats or comparison is inciting violence” which is where the Hitler comparison came from. That was your take from a clear meme about why we have the fourth amendment over illegal search and seizure.
Then why this specific comparison?
Did the thought not cross your mind that it may be tkaen like this?
“Why make the most direct historical comparison for American history?” Really? Did it not cross your mind that no one sees “the redcoats” of some big boogeyman like Nazis. Yankee is a more direct cause of violent altercation than “redcoat”.
C'mon man. The point was not that people were shot over a 'redcoat meme', it was that you analogized the FBI to the Redcoats, and thereby justifying treating them the same way.
Yeah, whatever. If you don't want to understand things, that's fine too.
And any man in a redcoat outfit is analogized in the exact same way. So once again would you ban a photo of a revolutionary war reenactment as “inciting violence” this is what your “perspective” is entirely dependent on.
Nice deflection, here’s mine, No U
