I never saw Trump as anti-establishment as much as wanting to take over the establishment and clean it up. He's a 70s Democrat who believes in a strong American system. The difference between him and previous recent politicians is he doesn't call half the country deplorable extremists. He wanted to build the biggest tent of diverse (actually diverse) supporters possible and populism is how he got there. Him taking your votes isn't the same as agreeing with you.

I think he just wants to recreate the alliance he had with the swamp because he had a successful presidency before the left's Covid scam opened the door to the industrial scale voter fraud that brought him down. What he doesn't realize is that the red side of the uniparty isn't interested in trying again and that they'll openly collude with the Dems to take him down if he does make it back into the White House.
