If I had to pin down a possible why, I’m going with isolation (we’re islands, fucking miles away), and huge levels of Asian (inc. the subcontinent) immigration and money, at an ever increasing level…

Dunno if you’ve ever spent time in, say, Singapore, Malaysia or Indo, but they ain’t exactly what I would call “free” (or Papua, or obviously Mainland China, or, notably, even fucking Vietnam)…

And India and it’s offshoots (Nepal, Bangladesh, Pak, Afghan) are, in a word, just fucked. They’re all barely-functional, dog eat dog, anarchic countries, and yes, that is at least partially cultural…

It’s not “racist”, it’s simply a fact. You bring millions of foreigners in, you change the “culture” of a place.

Is it an actual ban? Article mentions the jab won't be available to under 50s anymore but groups that are considered at risk will still be offered it, including under 50s where applicable.

The JCVI also advised that the booster third dose which became available in 2021, will no longer be offered to those aged between 16 and 49-years-old who are not in a clinical risk group, from February 12th, “as the transition continues away from a pandemic emergency response towards pandemic recovery”.

So anyone in a clinical risk group will still be able to get it.
