When people try to claim that journalists "hold the powerful to account", we should ask them how many reporters crash WEF conferences or confront Bilderberg attendees and try to ask them questions uninvited. I think that's a good benchmark for who is actually "holding the powerful to account".
I like Ezra, but I thought his "Isn't this a free country?" quip wasn't well thought out when you are a stranger in a strange land with none of the theoretical due process rights afforded to you at home.
Unless he's read up on Swiss law - specifically, the Swiss constitution, which guarantees "Freedom of expression and information" - Swiss constitution, article 16...

Switzerland has constitutionally protected free speech including freedom of the press, it is considered as free a country as Canada if not more so.
Canada isn't a free country, so if its the same as Canada.......
