For sure it shouldn't be used by so-called professionals. You can't stop the media but I can't take a criminal profiler seriously if she says "incels" like it's a technical term. It sounds like some profile that was always around and they just slapped a new buzzword on it.
It sounds too much like a bad Lefty webcomic where the Chief is asking for updates to their murder investigation, and the investigator pulls out a list and informs the Chief that the suspect is "a total neckbeard, guaranteed to be a virgin, and it wouldn't be wrong to consider him a chud, either."
That battle was lost when "psychopath/sociopath" became so commonly used that people think they are actual diagnosis instead of made up scary hype words.
